&Tradition Daystak Desk RD3

The Daystak Desk RD3 stands as a quiet testament to the clarity of British post-war design. Originally created by Robin Day in 1951 as part of his celebrated Daystak series, this piece has been thoughtfully reissued by &Tradition, staying true to its rational construction and honest craftsmanship. It reflects a design philosophy grounded in function, precision, and restraint, qualities that remain just as relevant in contemporary interiors today.

Built from a combination of plywood and solid beech, the desk showcases a light, graphic profile that emphasizes structural transparency rather than ornamentation. Every joint and line is deliberate, revealing the construction methods rather than concealing them, a hallmark of Day's design ethos and a key reason this piece continues to be regarded as a landmark of mid-century furniture design.

The Daystak Desk RD3 measures L122 x W61 x H74 cm, offering a well-proportioned surface suited to both focused work and everyday use. It is available in two material options: Beech, and Beech & Nano Laminate, the latter providing a refined, durable surface finish while preserving the natural warmth of the wood beneath.

Timeless in its simplicity and rigorous in its construction, this desk brings a piece of design history into modern spaces, pairing effortlessly with both classic and contemporary furnishings. A considered addition for those who value authenticity, material honesty, and design with lasting relevance.
