The Tom Dixon Whirl Fat Cone Floor Light is an experiment in mirrored reflections. Inspired by the bold elegance of the Op Art movement, Whirl captivates with its hypnotic spiral design, transforming light and reflection into an ever-changing myriad of abstract patterns — a graphic statement piece that reads as kinetic sculpture as much as lighting.
The 45 cm spiral-printed disc shade comes in Silver, Gold or Copper, standing 172 cm tall on a powder-coated steel fat cone base in Black or Polished Silver. Seen straight on it is a spinning vortex; from the side, a floating sliver of metal.
The integrated 7.5 W LED module delivers 800 lumens at a warm 3000 K (CRI >90) and dims smoothly via the inline dimmer on the 250 cm black fabric cable. LED lifetime 50,000 hours.
