The Tom Dixon Melt Fat Cone Floor Light captures the mesmerising quality of molten glass, evoking the interior of a melting glacier or the depths of outer space. Each Melt orb is crafted through a process of blow moulding and vacuum metallisation, producing an imperfect, organic surface with a hot-blown glass effect and an unusual, radiant luminosity that feels both natural and otherworldly.
In the Fat Cone configuration the 50 cm Melt orb rests on a tall, fat cone-shaped base, a striking silhouette that stands 174.5 cm high. The pairing of the reflective orb and the sculptural base makes a bold statement piece for contemporary and classic interiors alike.
The floor light is fitted with an integrated 7.5 W LED module delivering 800 lumens at a warm 3000 K with a CRI above 90, and is dimmable via an inline dimmer on the 250 cm black fabric cable.
Designed by Tom Dixon in 2021. The orb comes in Opal, Copper, Gold, Silver, Smoke, Bronze and Nickel; the cone in black powder-coated steel or, for the Silver, Opal and Nickel orbs, in polished silver.
