Serax Taka Bench L

The Taka Bench L by Serax is a striking study in contrast, designed by Ann Demeulemeester in collaboration with her life partner Patrick Robyn. A sculptural tulipwood frame, finished with a dark stain, brings together curved edge profiles with solid crosses and rectangular planes, its smooth, glossy surface set against the soft texture of an upholstered seat cushion. The interplay between structure and softness, strength and refinement, reflects the distinctive design language that defines the entire Taka collection.

Measuring 194 cm in length, 72 cm in width and standing at a low 34 cm high, the Taka Bench L offers a generous, grounded silhouette suited to both contemporary and understated interiors. It shares its proportions and material language with the smaller Taka S, forming part of a considered, cohesive seating series.

Crafted from FSC-certified tulipwood and finished with a sprayed lacquer or water-based stain, the wood is protected against dirt and can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. As a natural material, slight variations and changes over time are to be expected, adding to the individual character of each piece. The upholstery fabrics are woven in Belgium and designed exclusively for this collection.

The Taka Bench L is available in a wide range of upholstery options, including Coco Natural, Coco Off-White, Velvet Fern, Velvet Grey, Velvet Mole, Velvet Rose, Velvet Shade, Velvet Tangerine and Velvet Teddy, allowing the bench to be tailored to a variety of colour palettes and interior settings.
