Serax Dune Chef's Knife

Designed by Kelly Wearstler for Serax, the Dune Chef's Knife brings sculptural refinement to everyday kitchen rituals. As an essential piece of the Dune knife collection, it embodies a considered harmony between material, form, and quality, translating Wearstler's distinctive design language into a tool made for daily use.

The collection draws its inspiration from the work of Austrian architect and designer Josef Hoffmann, visible in the expressive offset detail and the elegant split effect that runs along the entire length of the handle. Each piece is hand-cast and hand-polished, a process that lends every knife its own subtle character. As with many Serax designs finished by hand, slight irregularities may occur, adding to the individuality of each piece rather than detracting from it.

This particular version features a handle crafted from white ash wood, paired with a stainless steel blade, and is also available in a walnut finish. Measuring 35 cm in length, 4.5 cm in width, and 1.5 cm in height, with a weight of 0.36 kg, it offers a balanced, comfortable grip suited to precise, confident use in the kitchen. Please note the knife is not dishwasher resistant and should be cared for accordingly.
