Seletti's Reflecting Mirror – Ciclope reimagines the age-old function of a mirror through an unsettling and captivating twist. Designed by Giampiero Romanò and Andrea Ghisalberti, this wall mirror belongs to the celebrated Reflecting Eyes Mirror Trilogy, a collection where art restoration meets contemporary design experimentation. While a traditional mirror simply returns our own image, the Ciclope subverts this logic: animated eyes embedded within the glass appear to observe the viewer and the surrounding space, reversing the roles of observer and observed.

Crafted from a combination of PU, glass, and LCD technology, the piece merges classic mirror-making craftsmanship with a subtle mechanical animation, resulting in a work that feels alive. The eyes shift and blink independently, creating a constant interplay between reflection and gaze, stillness and motion, familiarity and surprise.
