Seletti Kintsugi Tea Cup with Saucer

The Seletti Kintsugi Tea Cup with Saucer 03 reinterprets the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi through a contemporary design lens. Traditionally used to repair broken ceramics by highlighting their cracks with precious metal, this philosophy is here reimagined as a decorative language of its own: delicate porcelain surfaces are enriched with fragments of real gold, transforming each piece into an object of unexpected beauty and quiet luxury.

Part of the wider Kintsugi tableware collection designed by Marcantonio, this tea cup and saucer set combines fine craftsmanship with a bold artistic vision. Marcantonio's work often explores the relationship between man and nature, and this collection channels that same spirit of transformation, turning what could be seen as imperfection into a celebration of charm and character.

Crafted from porcelain and finished with real gold detailing, the set measures 13 x 9.8 x 6.2 cm (5.12” x 3.85” x 2.44”). Due to the delicate gold accents, the piece is not dishwasher-safe and not microwave-safe, and is best cared for with gentle hand washing to preserve its finish over time.

Elegant enough for a refined breakfast table yet striking enough to serve as a display piece, this tea cup and saucer brings a sense of artisanal storytelling to any interior. Pair it with other pieces from the Kintsugi line, including matching plates and mugs, to create a cohesive and characterful table setting that speaks to both tradition and modern design sensibility.
