Plumen 001 Iconic LED Bulb E26 Milky - 420lm 3500K - Dimmable - US Version

Plumen 001 story

"It’s strange that the bulb, an object so synonymous with ideas, is almost entirely absent of imagination.” - Nicolas Roope, Hulger co-founder and creative director

The Plumen 001 is built with beauty at its heart, glowing with the aesthetic of a sculptural object. The forms the glass tubes take are irregular yet harmonious, as the two organic shapes mirror each other to create symmetry. The name Plumen comes from ‘plume’ - the bird’s decorative feather, designed to attract attention to its’ prowess and beauty.

The first Plumen concept design joined the very prestigious permanent collection at MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) in New York, while the second was featured at the Victoria and Albert museum in London. The Plumen 001 design was developed in collaboration with designer Sam Wilkinson.

Beautiful
Their bulbs are distinguished by their elegant sculptural form. Instead of being hidden from view, as low energy light bulbs tend to be, Plumen bulbs are designed to be on show. Hulger invests in design, research and high-quality components to get the best out of new lighting technologies. By creating an attractive form, they help everyone to make an environmentally sound choice without having to compromise on style.

Affordable
It is important to make products accessible. They are not interested in creating high-end design pieces that can only be used by a few. Hulger strives to keep prices competitive and make their designs available to a wider audience.
