Gubi Keen Shelving System

Gubi Keen Shelving System is a modular storage design created by Linda Korndal's studio, Toko Among Friends, for GUBI. Defined by architectural structure and quiet adaptability, Keen is built around an intuitive rod-and-bracket system that allows the composition to expand both vertically and laterally while remaining visually complete at every stage of growth.

The system is composed of seven core modules: vertical metal rods, three lengths of open shelving, an enclosed box shelf, feet for the base, and soft arches that crown the top of the structure. Each rod pierces the shelf above through a specially engineered connector bracket, making it possible to extend the unit simply by adding further rods and shelves as space and needs evolve.

Keen is available in a choice of configurations, including versions with 2 or 3 arches, in widths of 96 cm, 160 cm and 208 cm, and with shelf counts ranging from a single shelf with box to full six-shelf compositions. Frames come in Satin Stainless Steel or Black Brass, while shelves can be specified in Black Ash Veneer, Smoke Tempered Glass, or ALPI Sottsass Gray Veneer. The ash and ALPI veneers are FSC®-certified, incorporating wood from responsibly managed forests and other controlled sources.

Sculptural yet functional, Keen brings material depth and rhythmic presence to any interior, moving fluidly between private homes, hospitality settings and workspaces.
