Gubi Beetle Bar Chair Un-Upholstered

The Gubi Beetle Bar Chair, Un-Upholstered brings a lighter, more versatile expression to GamFratesi's iconic Beetle family. Where the original design has long been celebrated in its fully upholstered form, this edition introduces a polypropylene plastic shell, offering a softer, more casual silhouette without compromising on the exceptional sitting comfort the collection is known for. Its subtle matte texture lends a pleasant tactility, while the shell's inherent durability makes it a practical choice for both everyday use and demanding hospitality environments.

True to the Beetle's distinctive character, the bar chair's rounded, organic form draws inspiration from nature, balancing sculptural presence with a refined sense of lightness. Its elevated seat height allows it to sit gracefully within a room, adapting naturally to both formal and informal interiors, from home bars to restaurants and lounges.

The un-upholstered Beetle Bar Chair is available in eight harmonious shell colours: Alabaster White, New Beige, Amber Brown, Black, Fern Green, Lunar Gray, Mocha Brown, and Sweet Pink. This broad palette invites playful mixing and matching to create a personalised look tailored to any setting.

Completing the design, the chair rests on a Conic Base, available in four finishes: Black Matt, Black Chrome, Antique Brass, and Brass Semi Matt. Together, the range of shell colours and base finishes allows for a highly customisable piece that fits seamlessly into a wide variety of design schemes.

Designed by GamFratesi for Gubi, the Beetle Bar Chair reflects the studio's signature ability to merge classic form with contemporary function, resulting in a chair that is as expressive as it is comfortable.
