Davide Groppi Cathode Pendant Lamp

The Davide Groppi Cathode Pendant Lamp presents a unique blend of scientific inspiration and artistic design that sets it apart in the world of modern lighting. Created by the renowned designer Omar Carraglia in 2015, this suspension lamp features an intriguing look reminiscent of a light bulb that might have existed in a steampunk narrative, where traditional electrical instruments meet futuristic innovation.

This lamp is crafted from beautifully mouth-blown glass paired with a choice of sophisticated finishes such as Matt White, Brushed Brass, Polished Black, and Chrome. Each material option complements the distinctiveness of the bulb, making it not just a source of light, but a piece of decor that tells a story even when unlit. The luminous diodes within replace conventional filaments, pushing the boundaries of how we think about lighting technology.

Moreover, the Cathode Pendant Lamp is not only a testament to creativity but also to flexibility in lighting design. It comes with various configurations involving different driver versions—Cathode 1 for a classic setup and Cathode 2 which allows for remote driver control. Both versions ensure high-quality color rendering index (CRI > 90) and are available in warm tones (2700K and 3000K), making them suitable for a diverse range of indoor environments. This lamp is a perfect choice for those who appreciate design that combines both historical cues and avant-garde technology.
