Audo Copenhagen Kubus 1 Candle Holder

Kubus 1 Candle Holder in White represents a masterpiece of Danish modernist design. Created by renowned architect Mogens Lassen in 1962, this iconic geometric candle holder was originally designed for a restaurant in northern Zealand, Denmark, where it continues to grace the same space more than six decades later.

The Kubus 1 embodies the principles of Danish Functionalism, drawing inspiration from Bauhaus sensibilities. Its deceptively simple cubic form belies a sophisticated design philosophy that prioritizes timeless elegance and enduring function. The piece strikes a perfect balance between presence and restraint, making it a natural addition to any interior without demanding excessive attention.

Crafted from steel, this compact candle holder measures 7 cm in height, width, and depth, making it ideal for intimate table settings or decorative displays. Its minimalist aesthetic complements both contemporary and classic interiors, while its practical function as a mood-enhancing accent continues to create a cosy atmosphere wherever it is placed.

The Kubus 1 has rightfully earned its status as an icon of Danish design, celebrated for its geometric purity and unwavering functionality. Whether displayed as a standalone decorative object or grouped with other pieces from the Kubus Collection, this timeless candle holder remains a testament to Mogens Lassen's influential design legacy and continues to inspire interior spaces worldwide.
