Ambientec Turn Craft Portable Lamp

The Ambientec Turn Craft Portable Lamp, designed by Nao Tamura, gracefully combines intricate craftsmanship with modern design, resulting in an object that highlights the beauty of natural aging in metals like brass and stainless steel. The Turn Craft series, an elegant evolution of the TURN project launched in 2019, features the Stainless Black / Nero and Brass / Cotto editions.

For the Stainless Black / Nero version, the lamp employs an innovative steel dyeing technology that achieves a deep, rich black hue, which brings a relaxed sophistication to any space. Additionally, part of the lamp's stem is exquisitely wrapped in hand-stitched Tuscan Liscio leather, enhancing its tactile and aesthetic appeal. The Brass / Cotto version offers a nostalgic yet contemporary feel, adorned with a brass surface that is treated with an oil finish to promote a natural patina over time, enriched by gentle handling and use. This variant too features the signature Tuscan Liscio leather, meticulously sewn by hand, culminating in a piece that is not only a light source but a testament to artisanal skill and timeless design.

Both versions of the Turn Craft Lamp are designed to appreciate in aesthetic value as they age, inviting users to cherish the natural evolution of its materials. With her cross-cultural design approach, Nao Tamura ensures that each lamp not only illuminates your space but also serves as a profound piece of art, reflecting a unique blend of innovation, beauty, and tradition.
