101 Copenhagen Sumo Vase

Immerse yourself in the artistic nuances of the 101 Copenhagen Sumo Vase, a striking ode to the rich traditions and impressive build of sumo wrestlers. This vase from the Sumo collection stands out with its voluminous contours balanced delicately atop slender, pointed legs. Crafted in a rich coffee hue, it is a testament to fine ceramic artistry.

Each piece in the collection is meticulously hand-glazed, showcasing subtle variations that make every piece unique. Though primarily designed as a decorative object that commands attention, the vase includes a bag intended for fresh flowers, catering to both aesthetic and functional needs. The deep, carved openings challenge conventional vase designs and invite a different perspective on form and functionality.

Created by designers Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl, the Sumo Vase juxtaposes traditional shapes with abstract artistic concepts, making each vase not only a vessel but also a piece of art that enriches any interior space. Due to the handcrafted nature of this product, colors may vary slightly and while it isn't fully waterproof, its beauty and design resonate with the philosophy of Wabi-Sabi—celebrating imperfection and the natural cycles of growth and decay.
